Re: Heather's posting
Dear Heather,
This is a response to your most recent posting concerning the definition of “city”. Just for the record, I’ve never referred to Bellevue as being a “city” when we all know it’s, in fact, a suburb. You may have gotten confused when people use the term “downtown Bellevue” and assumed they were referring to Bellevue as a “city”. Bellevue, like Seattle, has different neighborhoods (i.e. Factoria, Crossroads, downtown Bellevue, etc) to help define certain areas.
If anyone tries to tell you Bellevue is a “city”, please feel free to pass along the information stated above. Bellevue is a suburb. I must say I do enjoy Bellevue as my commute is only 15 minutes door-to-door and it wouldn’t be prudent of me to move to the “city” right now. Perhaps, one day I’ll move to the “big city” and enjoy all it has to offer, but right now I’ll settle for the 20 minute drive to the “city” over a 1 hour commute to work each day.
Your Eastsider Friend,
Marisa
