I think is harder on me than him. We were running a little frazzled this morning since Scooter took care of him this morning while I relaxed in bed for a bit before starting the day.
Then I realized it was 9am and I had made the reservation for him to be dropped off at 10am. I started to feel flustered and nervous while running around to try and get the diaper bag together along with Austin. We finally made it out the door fighting against Microsoft traffic on the way to to the club.
I park the car and unbuckle Austin. Walking fast, we pass by a slim, sleek looking woman stepping out of a brand new Mercedes dressed in an Armani-looking suit wearing black Gucci glasses trying to coerce her son out of the car. I look down at my Lucy hoody and jeans and wonder if we are at the right place. Look up at the sign and yes, it is the Pro Club. Whew. We are already running a little late.

We check in, after handing me a pager they bring us back to the room and there are many toddlers looking happy and content just playing. I kiss him and hook on the pager. I decide to just sit here in the bistro and write this post, waiting to see if the pager will go off. It has been 47 minutes and nada, nothing which means he's doing great.

If only Jack was willing to go to any daycare. When Callie and I were having a bad day we always ended up at the gym. She got a break from me (really, who doesn't get cranky when their with someone 24-7)and I got to work out my tension at the gym.
Sanity is key. I think SAHM's feel guilty for wanting to ever take time for themselves just like working mom's do. But, to have balance in our lives is not only important, but absolutely necessary to keep our sanity. Taking a few hours away from our child can feel like betrayal, or being a bad mom, but we are all the better for it.
AND...it's gets WAY easier as they get older. You don't feel so bad leaving them. In fact, they probably prefer to be dropped off at centers because of all the new things to play with!
You already know how I feel about it girl! Aleena has benefited so much from her school. She loves it and looks forward to it everyday!
