I dragged out of bed this morning, grabbed a cup of coffee, talked with Austin for a little bit then went to my laptop. Pressed "On" and let it download my latest email. I sifted through the Groupon offerings, Facebook messages, and then saw this Twitter notification (although this is a screen shot from Twitter).
I cannot tell you how much this message made me smile and cry at the same time. It could not have arrived at a better time. My family is going through so much at the moment which I don't want to delve into right now, but probably will sometime soon. I hope The Bloggess has the title of "Oracle" on her resume.
I've been reading The Bloggess for almost three years now and Scooter has been hooked as well. Her blog is addictive for a few reasons: The blog posts are easy to relate to, it isn't jam-packed with ads to the point of annoyance and not being readable (there are some other "mommy-blogs" out there that I can't read anymore because they take forever to load) and she writes the best humor, ever. Example: Wil Wheaton collating paper scenario. Who else could possibly pull this off?
Scooter and I were discussing a little while ago what we'd do if we ran into The Bloggess when visiting my parents in Texas. Like, what if it was at the 7-Eleven? Would we approach her? Would we ask for autographs? On our empty Strawberry Hill wine bottles? Maybe we should not approach her because she's probably followed by the local paparazzi?
If I ever do have the luck of running into her either in Texas or some other place one thing's for sure, I'd tell her she is awesome.

You really are awesome. Plus, I would totally be friends with anyone drinking strawberry hill. That stuff's a staple.
What an honor! I do love that blog as well - she is funny sh*t and so is her friend Lisa!
What an awesome comment! That would make my day too! Sending you hugs and positive thoughts for whatever it is you are going through. I hope the sun breaks through those clouds for you soon!
I'm glad that made you smile and what a wonderful post about her. I've read her a few times, but now I'll have to pop by and explore some more.
I love The Bloggess too. She's scary funny. Not sure what that means, but it's totally true.
Well now since some of my favorite UBP peeps follow The Bloggess, I think I shall have to check her out, too. Marisa, you made me feel awesome commenting on my blog when I needed it most. Pay it forward works. :)
