I get overwhelmed when thinking about the newborn that will soon be in our lives. I never really had experience with little, teeny babies until I decided to quit my demanding, corporate driven job last November and venture to do something new. That "new" venture ended up being nannying for twins, (at the time 4-month old) girls. It's a blessing I had that job, because about 4 months later we found out I was pregnant, which was a complete surprise.
Within those 4 months, I was lucky to learn a few things: use glass bottles, have a sound machine, don't use the "bad, chemically laden" diapers, swaddle, always have pacifiers in every corner of every room, etc.
On the days that feel extremely overwhelming - just turn on Jon and Kate plus 8 then realize one baby won't be so bad.

Swaddling is the best thing in the world!
