Being a new mom can drive anyone a little crazy...

even with simple things like finding the best care for your baby.

We have a great pediatrician here in the town we live in. I really like him and feel that he is very educated in all things related to babies and different conditions that come up... like little pink skin patches under the neck for instance (which is what we are dealing with). Unfortunately, most of the time he prescribes some sort of steroid (hydrocortisone) to fix whatever problem arises concerning Austin (he did this for his cradle cap also which I only used a couple times before thinking, "WTF, I'm putting a steroid on my child's head!" I'm afraid that if I bring Austin in for a broken finger that he'll prescribe hydrocortisone for the healing. Bah.

So, thanks to a friend and her recommendation, I've hopefully found our answer! I've been meaning to research a naturopathic doctor for Austin but have heard they are few and far between especially when dealing with pediatrics. So, going on a recommendation from a friend, I've made an appointment and the doctor will be Austin's naturopathic doctor.

We will still keep our regular pediatrician here where we live. The receptionist at the naturopathic clinic mentioned that many parents have a regular pediatrician and a naturopathic doctor. So, we'll see how it goes, but this makes me so happy to have finally found one!
