Cloth diapering is not so difficult even with a little poop...

this is true. This is the reason I only bought 3 diaper covers and 15 cloth diapers - because we just weren't sure. We pictured huge, uncleanable, poopy messes in every cloth diaper we used. (Which, thankfully, has not happened).

This is what we do:

During the day while at home we use the cloth diapers.

While out and about we use the Seventh Generation diapers (which are great! And don't contain as much chemicals as other commercial brands).

This has worked well for us and, I'm telling you, our garbage output is a lot less. We were a bit embarrassed by how much garbage we were accumulating throughout the week and so far we've found a solution.
