especially when there are kids running around unsupervised in your neighborhood setting these things off.
I just hate private fireworks. Even though it's the 4th of July. I'm not talking about sparklers. I'm talking about the fireworks that sound like mini rockets and grenades.
It was so loud in our neighborhood that we weren't able to watch a movie in our bedroom because we couldn't hear it. It literally sounded like gunshots and grenades were going off every half second for 2 hours at least (until around 11pm).
Scooter and I were pretty sure all of the neighborhood would be up in flames by the end of the night especially with all the dry grass and trees around here.
We did hear a couple of sirens, not sure where they were headed to.
Our house is still standing.
P.S. Claritin-D is doing nothing for my allergies.
P.P.S. I'm so glad it is getting cooler. Although, I did enjoy the hot days.

I know exactly what you mean. Every year some people a little bit down the street from us set off fireworks. It's loud and scary and always late at night.
Fireworks should be left up to the professionals to set off in designated spots like parks for the public to view. Private fireworks should be banned and illegal. I can't believe shops are allowed to sell fireworks to the public.
