Back in March I posted this. And. Wow. Time has flown by sitting on the wings of a stealth bomber because I'm not even using any of that stuff anymore. Hard to believe Austin was about 2 months old then. He's now 7 1/2 months old and here are some new items I'm really liking in the baby world.
Nikki McClure's - The First 1,000 Days I like this book because it's not a typical baby book and I really love Nikki McClure's artwork.
Lots To Say Pacifiers - Austin did not like pacifiers until a few weeks ago. Turns out we were just giving him the wrong ones. He's partial to this brand (We have the Too Cute and Whine Connoisseur).
Born Free bottles - We have the glass version and plastic version and like both. They don't leak like the Playtex VentAire bottles do (which are a pain in the ass when you are feeding a baby at 2am and it leaks all over the baby. We're going to give the sippy cup a go as well.
Sassy Me In The Mirror - Austin LOVES this mirror which I attached to his exersaucer. The funniest part is that he giggles and babbles at his reflection.
Bach's Rescue Remedy - Austin's naturopathic doctor recommended this for when he gets shots, is teething, irritable, etc. We've used it a couple of times and it is awesome. And yes, I know there's alcohol in it! (Which I did question at first...) The hilarious thing is reading how people used this stuff to calm their cat! Seriously people...
Snugli - Austin likes being in this, but just wishing it were easier to get him in and out of it without the help of an entire engineer team.
Johnny Jumper Thingy - We bought ours at a consignment shop so it's not this exact one but similar idea. We've had it for a couple of weeks and he figured out yesterday that he could jump in it. It's entertaining to see him in this thing, especially with a mirror in front of him.
If there are any infant items that tickle your baby let me know!
Oh, and P.S. I owe someone a dollar for my SOS post on getting Austin to sleep! After rereading all the comments it looks like Rhianna's advice helped the most! (I did feed him more during the day and it worked!) Feel free to email me your addy and I'll also add a little something for you!
Thanks again for everyone's help on the SOS post! Kind of like an online mommy support group!
